Tip

We recommend associating your [Booking page](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-pages/introduction-to-booking-pages "Introduction to Booking pages") with at least one [Event type](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/event-types/introduction-to-event-types "Introduction to Event types"). This enables better modeling of advanced scheduling scenarios (e.g. [multi-User scenarios](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/recommended-configuration/multi-user-scenarios/introduction-to-multi-user-scenarios "Introduction to multi-user scenarios") using [Pooled availability](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/master-pages-resource-pools/resource-pools/introduction-to-pooled-availability "Introduction to Pooled availability")) and provides a better scheduling experience for your Customers.

When accepting appointments for yourself, people come to your Booking page and book appointments with you [automatically or with your approval](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/scheduling-options/automatic-booking-or-booking-with-approval "Automatic booking or Booking with approval"). When your Booking Page is [not associated with Event types](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/master-pages-resource-pools/master-pages/booking-pages-only-without-event-types "Booking pages only (without Event types)"), take the following steps to customize your Booking page for personal appointment scheduling.

1. Hover over the lefthand menu and go to the Booking pages icon → relevant Booking page → [**Scheduling options**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/scheduling-options/introduction-to-scheduling-options "Introduction to the Scheduling options section"), and select which booking mode you prefer: [Automatic booking or Booking with approval](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/scheduling-options/automatic-booking-or-booking-with-approval "Automatic booking or Booking with approval").
2. Under [**Time slot settings**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/timeslot-settings/introduction-to-time-slot-settings "Introduction to Time slot settings"), select the duration, [**Time slot display**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/timeslot-settings/time-slot-display "Time slot display"), [**Workload rules**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/timeslot-settings/workload-rules "Workload rules"), [**Timeframe rules**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/timeslot-settings/timeframe-rules "Timeframe rules"), and other settings related to time slots.
3. Under [**Recurring availability**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-pages/booking-pages-recurring-availability "Booking page: Recurring availability section") and [**Date-specific availability**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-pages/booking-pages-date-specific-availability "Booking page: Date-specific availability section"), adjust your availability using Weekly recurring only, Date-specific only, or Weekly recurring plus Date-specific exceptions.
4. Under [**Associated calendars**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-pages/booking-pages-associated-calendars "Booking page: Associated calendars section"), assign a calendar and adjust your settings. Make sure that bookings are created in the calendar that you want, and that busy time is also retrieved from the correct calendars.
5. Under **[Conferencing / Location](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-pages/booking-pages-location-settings "Booking page: Conferencing / Location section")**, set the appropriate location for your booking, as well as the contact information either you or your Customer must provide.
6. Under [**Booking form and redirect**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-forms-redirect/introduction-to-booking-form-and-redirect "Introduction to the Booking form and redirect section"), select the Booking form that will be used to gather valuable information when your Customers are booking online.
7. Under [**Customer notifications**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/customer-notifications/introduction-to-customer-notifications "The Customer notifications section"), decide which notifications your Customers will receive and by which delivery method (email or SMS).
8. Under [**User notifications**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/user-notifications/introduction-to-user-notifications "Introduction to User notifications section"), decide which notifications you and your stakeholders will receive and by which delivery method (email or SMS).
9. Under [**Public content**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-pages/booking-pages-public-content "Booking page: Public content section"), update your personal information.

Run through a quick test meeting by clicking on your Public link in the **Share & Publish** section of your [Booking page **Overview**](https://help.staticso2.com/scheduleonce/event-types-booking-pages/booking-pages/booking-pages-overview "Booking page: Overview section") to make sure that everything is exactly as you want it.
